Friends with Flowers
Friends with Flowers continues to steadily bring us beautiful “repurposed” bouquets for the bedside of our patients. In fact, during 2011, 7562 bouquets throughout Central Oregon were delivered with 3368 hours of volunteer time. Friends with Flowers is completely comprised of volunteers and donated flowers from grocery stores, florists, restaurants and even funeral homes. In addition, many hotels and resorts spread the word to their guests about donating flowers following their event or wedding. Thank you to Friends with Flowers president, Heidi Berkman, for your vision and hard work - since 2007 - to give hospice patients and families the beautiful gift of flowers!
