Welcoming Jill Williams, Patient Care Coordinator

Born and raised in Klamath Falls, Jill went to nursing school in Portland at Linfield-Good Samaritan. She planned to deliver babies for her entire working career spending many years at the Family Birth Center in Klamath Falls.

Jill’s first experience with hospice was when her grandfather was on service for four months;  a year later she started working at Klamath Hospice.  For two years, Jill worked at both hospice and at the birth center where the blessings of both were abundant.  People would comment on the "opposites" of her career, but Jill explains, “In reality they are both very much alike -  we all have to be born, and we all have to die, but both experiences are scary for many people.”

Eventually Jill  gravitated more toward hospice, and away from 12-hour hospital shifts, but continued to teach childbirth classes for several more years.  Jill’s hospice career moved from staff nurse, to nursing supervisor, to clinical supervisor, and finally to clinical team leader.  “My philosophy is ‘servant leadership,’ to serve those who are doing the front-line work and to support amazing end-of-life care from behind the scenes,”  she says. After 11 years at Klamath Hospice Jill felt a calling to expand her leadership to a larger hospice and the Partners In Care PCC position caught her eye. “I knew immediately it was the one!  Thankfully, PIC felt the same,” says Jill.

Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her family. “ I have three kids and my husband Bryan is a stay-home dad (along with chef, housekeeper, chauffer, gardener, maintenance man, and all-around rock star.”)

Jill’s excited to be here at Partners In Care and sends a big thanks to everyone for welcoming her!
