Spiritual Care

One’s end-of-life journey, at its core, is an intimate and spiritual experience. It is a time when loved ones, life’s meaning, hope and a deep sense of peace are among the greatest gifts. Spiritual care, one of the primary hospice services, seeks to enable patients and families to embrace these gifts.

Elements of spiritual support can include reflection on one’s life and its meaning, developing a deeper appreciation of present spiritual strengths, compassionate conversation and fellowship, reconciliation of family relationships, feelings of past choices, and of course, prayer, meditation or religious ritual, including memorial services. We are also ready to work with congregations which provide religious support to patients and families.

At Partners In Care, spiritual caregivers respect the dignity of every human being and value persons of all spiritual traditions, including those who have chosen no tradition.

One of our Chaplains or Spiritual Care Volunteers is ready to meet with you and your family to assess individual spiritual or religious desires, and provide support in these areas.
