Caregiver Cafe: Caring for Veterans

Wyatt Room 2611 NE Courtney Drive, Bend, OR

Join us Wednesday, November 1 from 10 - 11 am for our monthly Caregiver Cafe! This month, as we celebrate National Family Caregiver Month and honor veterans for Veterans Day, we offer a slightly different Caregiver Cafe. Sit down with other veterans and caregivers to have an open discussion with Amber Lynch, VA Caregiver Support Coordinator, to learn about support and options available for caregivers. Did you know that the VA has a program specifically to support caregivers? The VA Caregiver Support Program (CSP) offers services to caregivers of eligible and covered Veterans enrolled in the VA health care system. The program’s mission is to promote the health and well-being of family caregivers who care for our Nation’s Veterans, through education, resources, support, and services. There are two different programs, which Amber will go through during this session, and different support available depending on eligibility of the veteran. Join us to learn more! Any caregiver of a veteran is welcome to attend, even if they do not know if they are eligible for either program.
