  • Expressing Grief Through Collage

    First Tuesday of Each Month | 4:00pm - 5:30pm Starting September 2, 2025 This once-a-month group provides space and support for expressing the thoughts and emotions of grief using collage art.   • Mindfulness for Well-Being: Cultivating Awareness and Inner Peace

    Join us for an in-person Mindfulness event in the Wyatt Room at Partners In Care. Registration is Required 541- 771-3262 Rooted in ancient traditions, mindfulness enhances mental well-being by cultivating awareness and emotional control. It is the practice of intentionally focusing your attention on the present moment in a non-judgmental way without habitually and automatically reacting. The eight-week class provides instruction on becoming aware of your thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and surroundings without trying to change or resist them. Mindfulness helps to stabilize difficult emotions and the intrusive thoughts common to grief, guilt, and stress. It enhances concentration and focus as well as improving mental well-being and the overall quality of our lives. There are numerous health benefits from mindfulness practices such as: Improved cardiovascular system, more flexible central nervous system. Better self-regulation and coping strategies. Mindfulness can render us less impacted by painful events. Enable us to respond more effectively and less reactively. Increasing tolerance to uncertainty Improve social and relational skills. Increased self-compassion and self-acceptance. Enhanced cognitive performance and higher brain functioning.

Caring for someone who has a serious illness or disability can be a rewarding experience, but it may also feel overwhelming. Caregiver Café is a safe place for folks who are caring for other adults. Come together with other caregivers in Central Oregon to share ideas, navigate challenges, and simply meet others in a similar situation, all in a safe, supportive environment at Partners In Care. The work of providing care for someone unable to care for themselves is unending, and caregivers need help. Join us to connect, gain support, and learn new skills- and maybe laugh along the way! Guest speakers will be invited from time to time. Caregiver Cafe will be held in the Wyatt Room at Partners In Care. Parking is available at 2611 NE Courtney Drive in Bend.     Join Partners In Care’s first community-based book club! Partnering with The St Charles Foundation and Paulina Springs Bookstore, this is an initiative aimed at bringing people together, reducing social isolation, and building community! This book club is free to attend and open to all. We meet the second Wednesday of each month from 10 – 11 AM at Paulina Springs Book Store in Sisters, Oregon. A little different from your average book club, we discuss one book over the course of two to three months; allowing time for in depth discussion of the text and themes, and creating space for wholehearted conversation and friendship building. Partners In Care provides a copy of each book to anyone attending.
