#GivingTuesday, celebrating our community partnerships!

All across the US, individuals, companies, and organizations are focusing on the charitable giving opportunities that help nonprofit organizations like Partners In Care fulfill their mission.

At Partners In Care, we are grateful for our many community partnerships that result in the enrichment of the lives of our patients, families, and community. On December 2, #GivingTuesday, we celebrate these recent gifts:

The launch of our community-based palliative care program was funded in part by PacificSource Foundation and the Oregon Community Foundation. On #GivingTuesday, a check for $20,000 was presented to Partners In Care CEO Eric Alexander by OCF Community Leadership Council Member Linda Stelle.

IMG_2844 1Our annual Light Up A Life service of remembrance and gratitude is held each year on #GivingTuesday, sponsored by Niswonger-Reynolds and the Daniel Family of Funeral Homes. Another community partner, The Bloom Project, furnished a beautiful floral arrangement using donated flowers. Following the event, the arrangement found its way to Hospice House for the enjoyment of patients and their families there.

Brad and Cristina Baird provided a significant gift to Partners In Care, part of which was used to open our new branch office in La Pine last week. The bulk of their gift supported Camp Courage, a summer day camp for children coping with the loss of a family member, friend, or classmate.

Partners In Care continues to serve the needs of our patients and their family members while following all of the guidelines outlined by the Oregon Health Authority and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus. While it is a rapidly evolving situation, here are some things you should know about our response:
  • Our central phone number (541) 382-5882 continues to be answered 24/7.
  • We are still admitting new patients to both Home Health and Hospice.
  • Prior to every in-person visit, all patients receive a risk assessment for COVID-19.
  • Visitors to Hospice House are being carefully screened prior to visiting patients.
  • Our professional caregivers are exercising diligence in all aspects of caring for themselves and others.
  • Please consult the calendar on our website for program/meeting cancellations.
