  • Dementia Caregiving and Telehealth: the Tele-Stella Project

    Join Partners In Care as we speak with Dr. Allison Lindauer from Oregon Health & Science University’s Layton Aging and Alzheimer's Disease Research Center. During this presentation, you will learn about support for caregivers in rural settings, known as the Tele-STELLA Project. Tele-STELLA (Support via Technology: Living and Learning with Advancing Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias) uses a well-known program to provide education and support to family caregivers.   • Tools to Support Veterans as a Loved One, Caregiver, or Healthcare Provider

    Join us for this in-person Community Education event in the Wyatt Room at Partners In Care on May 19 at noon. Memorial Day is a time to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation. It can also be a challenging day for many veterans who experienced the loss of a brother or sister in arms. Our panel of experts have worked to support veterans in our community, and they will discuss: • Methods of communication to foster a trusting environment • Tools that can be used to ease discomfort • Ways to be present, show empathy, and act with compassion to bring peace to a veteran struggling with past trauma, especially at end of life *Parking is available at 2611 NE Courtney Drive in Bend.
