As part of the City of Bend Welcoming Week, The Tower Theatre, Partners In Care, Council On Aging and Bend Film, Welcomes Unpaid Family Caregivers to a Movie Night. Unpaid caregivers are typically family members who provide care for those who cannot care for themselves. Caregivers are vulnerable to burnout and isolation, which has negative consequences for the caregiver and the one being cared for. For our immigrant and refugee neighbors who experience additional barriers, such as language, literacy, or navigation of resources, the risks are higher. Holiday Grief Support Group

Holidays can be an especially demanding and stressful time when we are grieving a loved one. Memories serve as constant reminders of loss. Watching others celebrate can be painful and overwhelming.  This six-week group will offer not only support but also strategies to help individuals cope with the demands of the holiday season. This group will meet on Thursdays from November 16 through December 14, 2:30 - 4 pm in the Wyatt Room at Partners In Care. Cultivating Resilience After the Loss of a Child

Join us for a half-day workshop designed for parents who have experienced the loss of a child. This workshop is graciously funded by the generosity of Jerry Colonna, whose vision of supporting our community through their darkest times continues to inspire and heal.  Why Attend?  Losing a child is one of the most painful experiences a parent can endure. This workshop provides a safe space to explore themes of grief and resilience, allowing participants to gain tools and insights on coping with their loss. Facilitated by experienced bereavement staff from Partners In Care, this event offers both professional guidance and community support.  Who Should Attend?  This workshop is open to any community member who has lost a child of any age. We recommend attendees be at least 6 months past their loss.  Registration:  Advance registration is required as spaces are limited.
